Welcome to Fighting CRC!

Hello friends!  Thanks so much for stopping by to learn more about the Fighting CRC Podcast. Being diagnosed with colorectal cancer was a shock to me and devastating news to my family.  It didn’t take too ling for me to decide whether or not to fight for my life as I had plenty of reasons to live.

But after making that decision, I was presented with multiple different options / paths to follow… all of which led to different outcomes and came with different (potential) side-effects.

Long story short, I spent a year and a half fighting for my life and I won some battles and lost others…. but in the end, I won the war!  I am now cancer free (NED) and will spend the next few years keeping an eye on my health, getting the annual colonoscopy and doing whatever I can to help raise awareness to the second deadliest cancers in the US…which led me to create this blog and to begin doing podcasts.

My goal is to not only raise awareness, but also provide (via my podcasts) valuable information (and HOPE) to colorectal cancer patients, caregivers and healthcare professionals/providers.

I aim to release one podcast and blog post a week.  There are SO many topics and SO much information to cover, I’ll certainly have enough content.  My challenge will be to remain consistent when it comes to posting on a regular schedule.

As a procrastinator, I think it’d be a good idea to record 3 or 4 episodes in advance so that if anything comes up (you know, life related) and I’m not able to record an episode, that I’ll at least have something available to release / post.

So, thanks again for checking out my humble little website and YouTube channel.  Please consider joining me in this new journey by subscribing to my channel and clicking the notification bell to be alerted to each of my new episodes / video posts.

On my website, go to the Contact Us page and sign up for my monthly eNewsletter.  It will contain valuable information about colorectal cancer, treatments options, inspiring stories and national/local events.

Thanks SO much for stopping by and, please like and share this post with those who you think would benefit from my little cancer website.  Hope all is well and, have yourself a wonderful day!  –JR
